Mini CDs are compact discs with a smaller size. It is an 80mm disc that can hold
21 minutes of music, or 185MB of data.
In terms of usage, MiniCD is the middle ground between regular size and business
card CD. With 185MB it's big enough for most data storage purposes and small enough
to be distributed conveniently. If your like the idea of business card sized
CD but the content exceeds 50MB, mini CD would be the best alternative. Mini CD
is still small enough for you to put it in a regular envelop for mailing.

Warning: MiniCDs cannot be used in most slot-loading devices, such as some automobile
CD players and computers. But on most tray-loading CD devices there are two
"wells"; one sized for a normal CD, and a smaller, deeper well for MiniCDs to fit
into. CD devices that feature an opening lid have no problem with MiniCDs, as
the disc can simply be placed onto the spindle as with a normal CD.
